But what if we have one for our soul as well? In this painting I toy with the idea of reincarnation. Out of the caldron of eternity, the ethers of existence simmer into the vapors of our creation. Or is it our recreation? The Secret of Reincarnation asks the question that religions have grappled with since the beginning of humanity—what’s next? The female figure on the left is the blue print, the mechanics of the human soul. Her body is comprised of all the necessary formulas. The winged figure on the right is the product of this mysterious process, the reincarnated human soul, ready for another shot at the game of life.
