QUEEN OF THE OCEANS

Oil and copper leaf on canvas

Our lady of the seas rides her steed, while her admiring subjects swim around her. As she gazes into her beloved mirror, she perceives a world delighting in her majesty. The reality that her companion is more jackass than seahorse or that her reflection is more fish-face than regal beauty does not concern her. As with royalty throughout the ages, her illusion is all that matters.
